Slave Name

From BelegarthWiki

A slave name is a term for a mundane name given to a fighter who was enslaved by society until finding Belegarth. It is considered impolite or flat out disrespectful to address a fighter by their slave name in any type of Belegarth setting.

Nation of Kabislam leader Kabibbles writes often of "slave names." Some of his comments include:

  • "You must remember that slave-names will keep you a slave in the eyes of the civilized world today. You have seen, and recently, that Khazad-dûm and Neldoreth will not honor you or give you any respect as long as you are called by the mundane name."
  • "You are still called by your mundane slave-masters' names. By rights, by international rights, you belong to the mundane man of society. He knows that. You have never gotten out of the shackles of slavery. You are still in them."
